Raelyn J. Schuh
Associate Attorney
Baltimore, MD (443) 933-8185 raelyn@malpracticeteam.comRaelyn’s passion for advocacy began with serving vulnerable and underserved children.
Today, she brings that same commitment to representing individuals and families in medical malpractice and wrongful death cases, providing compassionate advocacy while holding negligent healthcare providers accountable.
Raelyn joined the WVFK&N team as an associate attorney in September 2024 after serving as a judicial law clerk at the Appellate Court of Maryland. She currently represents individuals and families in complex medical malpractice (mostly birth injury) and wrongful death litigation. Throughout her time as an attorney at WVFK&N, Raelyn has been a part of multiple seven-figure medical malpractice settlements, as well as an eight-figure settlement, gaining substantial litigation, courtroom, and trial experience. She has participated in every stage of complex litigation, including discovery, expert development, motion practice, mediation, and trial. Raelyn has been admitted pro hac vice in Georgia, Kentucky, and Virginia and has represented clients throughout all phases of litigation, including taking depositions, arguing motions, and participating in trial.
Raelyn has extensive experience taking and defending depositions nationwide, including those of treating physicians, nurses, hospital personnel, and nationally recognized expert witnesses across a broad range of medical specialties, including nursing, neurology, neuropsychology, neuroradiology, obstetrics, and maternal-fetal medicine. She is known for her meticulous preparation, command of complex medical issues, and commitment to providing compassionate, diligent, and client-centered representation. Raelyn understands that medical negligence and wrongful death cases often arise during the most difficult moments in a family’s life. She is dedicated to ensuring that each client feels heard, supported, and confidently represented while navigating the challenges of complex litigation.
Before joining WVFK&N, Raelyn clerked at the Appellate Court of Maryland, where she assisted in researching, drafting, and editing more than thirty appellate opinions. Prior to her legal career, she served as a Teach For America corps member, teaching ninth-grade English while earning her Master of Education.
Raelyn earned her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she graduated with distinction in legal writing and advocacy and held several leadership positions. She currently serves as Secretary of the Maryland State Bar Association Young Lawyers Section, Senior Co-Chair of the Bar Association of Baltimore City’s Young Lawyers’ Division, and Co-Chair of the New Lawyers Section of the Maryland Association for Justice.
Raelyn Schuh states, “My passion for representing individuals and families stems from both personal experience and professional purpose. After experiencing a traumatic brain injury in 2015, I gained a profound appreciation for the physical, emotional, and financial challenges that accompany a serious injury. That experience gave me a level of empathy that continues to shape the way I advocate for my clients. As a medical malpractice attorney, I have the privilege of representing clients in complex, high-stakes cases, including wrongful death claims. Every case represents a family navigating one of the most difficult times in their lives, and I consider it an honor to help them seek accountability and justice. I was drawn to WVFK&N not only for its national reputation and record of success, but because its attorneys genuinely care about the people they represent. That commitment to treating every client with compassion, respect, and dedication is what makes the firm, and my work here, so rewarding.”

Every case represents a family navigating one of the most difficult times in their lives, and I consider it an honor to help them seek accountability and justice.
