Joseph A. Konrad

Joseph has over ten years of civil litigation experience, concentrating on birth injury, medical malpractice, and wrongful death litigation.

In addition to his advocacy for the individual, Joseph also has experience defending malpractice cases, providing him with a unique perspective. Mr. Konrad graduated from the UIC Chicago School of Law, formerly The John Marshall Law School, with his Juris Doctor and LLM in International Business and Trade Law, with Honors.

Mr. Konrad has tried multiple complex medical malpractice cases, representing patients and their families through every stage of litigation, from investigation and discovery through trial.

In 2024, Mr. Konrad was part of the trial team led by partner, Mary Koch, obtaining a $23 million verdict in Johnson v. Advocate Trinity Hospital, on behalf of a child who sustained a brain injury at birth. In 2025, he and his colleague, Soobin Lee, settled a fetal demise case against a Chicago-area healthcare provider for $1 million. In 2026, Joe and Soobin have settled a birth injury case against an Illinois hospital for $8 million, as well as two wrongful death cases against Illinois hospitals for $1.5 million and $1.6 million.

I wanted to work at WVF&N for the opportunity to litigate cases involving serious injury to individuals — in an environment and culture that has a high standard of work and a long history of successful cases.
